Exploring the connection of the human with the Divine, Brian has immersed himself in a spiritual and cathartic creative process. His interest in prayer as an intersection of two realms has drawn him to see the horizon as a diptych, painting emotive landscapes and vivid abstract compositions from a meditative perspective. The environments he creates are dynamic, rich, and heartfelt.
In recent years Brian has shown his work in various locations across the United States, including Baltimore, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, and his new hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a recipient of the Daniel Vollmer Scholarship for the Arts in 2004 and is currently a member of the Association for Visual Arts. He built his own studio in the backyard of his home where he lives with his wife and their son.
